Industrial Enterprise Development Institute (IEDI), established in 1996 under the Industrial Enterprise Development Institute Act 1996, is an autonomous entity dedicated to developing human and knowledge resources for entrepreneurship and business promotion in Nepal through a number of impact-generating quality tools such as training, research, consultancy, enterprise education, and management development programmes.

Since its inception, IEDI has been providing its services targeting intermediary organisations as well as potential and existing entrepreneurs. In the changing political and socio-economic context of Nepal, IEDI aims to reengineer its services to address the needs of different organisations and individuals involved in enterprise development.

With a view to providing sustainability and weathering the challenges of entrepreneurship and business development in Nepal, IEDI’s focus rests on delivering quality services to a maximum number of organisations involved in enterprise development. For meeting this objective, it carries out R&D, testing and dissemination of Best Practices in Business Development Service to cater the needs of different groups and communities in Nepal and abroad.
